As a church we ascribe to essential doctrines of the christian faith which can be summarised as follows:

  1. The Deity of Christ - we affirm the undeniable truth that Jesus is God and that this truth is clearly outlined in scripture
  2. Salvation by Grace - we recognise that all humanity have fallen short of the moral standard given to us by God but through the sacrifice of Christ we are saved from the consequence of sin which is eternal death
  3. Salvation by Christ Alone - we can only be saved and reconciled to God by entering into a personal relationship with Jesus as He is the only route to salvation
  4. The Resurrection of Christ - we testify to the truth that Jesus was conceived of virgin birth as a man and later crucified and then raised to life. As a result we have been raised to life with Him in a clear manifestation of God's glory and power
  5. The Gospel - we hold fast to the only true gospel which declares that Jesus was crucified as a sacrifice for the sins of humanity and by His resurrection we are set free from the hold of sin and death. We have been given this good news to share with the world
  6. Believer's Baptism - We believe that individuals must be baptised in water following a profession of faith in Jesus as an outward declaration of their decision. This also means that only those who are able to make a profession of faith should be baptised (not infants)
  7. Monotheism - we believe the absolute truth that there is only one God in all of existence
  8. The Holy Trinity - There is one God who exists in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are all coeternal and of the same nature
  9. The Holy Spirit - We believe the third person of the Trinity is essential for conviction, regeneration and sanctification of every believer. We believe that the power of the Holy Spirit is manifest within believers through gifts, signs and wonders used for the edification of the church and as testimony to the lost
  10. The Ministry - We believe that the five fold ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers is relevant today for the effective operation of the church and the gifts of the Holy Spirit have not ceased
  11. The Return of Christ - We believe in the personal, physical and visible return of Jesus Christ to bring judgement in the final days and to reign in power and glory
